Who We Are
Dottopus is an independent, community-driven initiative formed around games and creative culture. We see game development not merely as a technical production process, but as a living form of expression intertwined with art, culture, storytelling, and community.
Our core mission is to create spaces that bring people together around game development, digital art, and creative production—encouraging creation and making learning in these fields accessible. Dottopus is more than a team; it is a community that creates, shares, and grows together.
Since our founding, we have brought hundreds of participants together by organizing:
Game Jams (Dottopus Game Jam, Body Horror Game Jam, SnowBerry / Winter Jam, etc.),
Workshops and talks,
Interdisciplinary events,
Community meetups and creative gatherings.
Experience sits at the heart of Dottopus. We value participants not just attending an event and leaving, but meeting new people, creating together, learning through mistakes, and becoming part of the process. For this reason, our events are designed to prioritize collaboration over competition, and process over outcome.
At the same time, Dottopus approaches games as a cultural and artistic medium of expression. Rather than fantasy clichés, we support works with strong narratives, cultural backgrounds, and meaningful intent. For us, games are not just entertainment—they are a form of storytelling, an experience, and a tool for communication.
Today, Dottopus aims to build a growing creative ecosystem that connects:
Students,
Independent developers,
Artists,
Academics,
Industry professionals.
